Ending: Seeing A New LightNow that a month has past, I guess I was gonna be a show for everyone that was out there to see me. I followed behind the man with the large hooded cape, while one guard escorted me out. The large wooden door clicked open, and the rays of light from outside stung my eyes, I squinted to allow my eyes to focus on what was ahead. My eyes eventually adjusted to the light and from where I was standing I saw many faces but none of them were Eirik. I was forced on to my knees with my neck resting on a large, cold stone. I saw much blood near where I kneeled. I felt all the hope leaving my body like it was becoming lifeless. I closed my eyes and let the tears stream down once more, and just told myself that all this would be over soon. I heard the sword come out of its scabbard, the person above me spoke foreign words that I couldn't understand.
Suddenly, the man that stood behind me in the hooded cape revealed himself, he whistled loudly, and out come a horse onto the stage. Eirik grabbed me,
Chapter 3: In Only MinutesThe man who had been carrying me dropped me on the wooden surface. I looked around to see if there were others like me. I looked past the other men who were busy at work on the ship, and saw the man from the high council. He had been bleeding from the top of his head, with his head bobbed down. I think he was sleeping or just unconscious. As the man tied my hands to the large post I looked up to see who it was, he had frozen blue eyes with hints of white in them. He had a very stern look but had a sense pity for me.
"Eirik, after you're done over there go and help the others haul up the goods." A man had yelled. This man had long, brown hair with a large helmet on his head. As he walked towards my direction, Eirik obeyed his orders. He had asked me to state my name and to tell him where the "gold" was. I didn't know at all where or what this item was. He seemed very displeased and knocked me unconscious. I remember waking up and feeling blood on the side of my head, I looked up and saw
Chapter 2: My PastThe month earlier, I had been learning how to cook the salmon my brother had caught for us. I remember my mother saying "Tutti, do not leave it for long or it will burn."
As I was flipping the salmon over, a man had arrived at the door with a very serious expression. He called my mother out of the hut to tell a message that seemed very important. I had recognized him as a member of the high council. My mother told my brother to watch me as she left with the man. He took a glance at me and continued sharpening his arrow. She disappeared from the hut leaving me with Cobar. He was very quiet and so was Adoni. They had been friends for many years, because of our fathers, before we lost them both at the Great War. They were like brothers they learned to hunt at 12 and now that they are nearing manhood soon enough. Since I turned 14 I had learned to cook the fish my brother brought home, it took a lot longer then I thought it would.
"I'm going to see Adoni. I'll be back soon. Try not t
Chapter 1: A Bad Start It wasn't always like this. I was never locked behind a brick wall. I was never told that I would never see the sun or moon again. I was never alone. I heard the mumbling of guards down the halls, probably talking about the executions that occurred tonight. I enjoyed staying up and waiting to hear those footsteps come to my door. Considering the protocol the guards cannot converse with the prisoner, but now it seems that rule is bent. He and I have become close from the day I was captured from my tribe till now.
There was a fumble of keys outside my door. I listened as the keys entered the lock and watched the door spring open. Anticipating to see friendly eyes, instead there stood a large figure with piercing blue eyes. The figure drew closer. The closer he came the more I crawled back until I reached a dead end. The figure grabbed me by my long, black hair dragged me up, turned me around and tied my hands. I was led out of my cham

Hall of MirrorsI see you through the mirror
Knowing you are now my past
You give me a smile
That one that gave me butterflies
I throw a punch to the glass
The shards fall
Along with the memories of you and I
I look around
All the memories surround me
When you spoke to me
When you held me
When you kissed me
When that light was still there
The elixer of love
Has become the posion
I wish i had never drank
I fall to my knees
I begin to feel cold
This feeling rides up my body
Like a monster devouring me
Slowly the cold numb feeling
Reaches my heart
It tries to fight the poison
But loses and turns black
In the hall of mirrors
Break My HeartI cant sleep
Knowing you are not here
The cuts have run deep
And the joys and laughter disappear
I listen to the saddest music
Eat that tub of ice-cream
But nothing helps
I just can't feel my heart
Now your gone
My life is torn apart
I'm awake to see dawn
I just can't feel my heart
I hope you enjoy
Where your life is headed
Because you've destroyed mine
on old sanzu - absolutely true fictionlast fall i stole my friend down by the tama river. we sang. we danced. we skipped dead fish like rocks and watched them get swallowed by the undertow. we got sick off of bad chinese food and went skinny-dipping and then a week later she drowned herself.
her uncle was a yakuza, i think, but he really just wanted to be al pacino or something. anyway, she loved him a lot. maybe that’s why she went down the way she went down; cement shoes. not real cement, but it was the same idea. she had two cloth bags with yellow-painted cinderblocks inside, and they were tied to her ankles like the prisoners’ chains from o brother where art thou.
in my mind’s eye i can see her, limping dreadfully close to the edge of the current, her left hand gripping at her breasts through a loose t-shirt. kneeling by the wastelands, elbows in the gravel, crawling forward out into the water. angry like a dermis under wool, all teeth and salt and sand. sleepy, submissive, sublimated.
